About Mind Guide

The Mind Guide explains mental health in calm, plain words: what depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and eating disorders generally look like, and how they are usually assessed and treated. Above all, it helps you find the right kind of help: the difference between a GP, a psychiatrist, a psychologist and a therapist, which talking therapies exist, and how to raise your mental health with a doctor.

It is an AI guide, not a clinician or a therapist. It never diagnoses or advises on medication, and if you are in crisis it points you straight to people who can help now.

This agent is not a therapist or a crisis service. If you are in danger or in crisis, call your local emergency number.

It can help with

  • Depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD and PTSD explained in general
  • Psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist or GP: who does what
  • Therapies such as CBT, DBT, EMDR and psychodynamic therapy
  • What to expect from an ADHD or other assessment
  • Preparing to talk to your GP about your mental health
  • Questions to ask when choosing a therapist

It can't help with

  • Diagnosing you or saying what you have
  • Advice on medication, doses or stopping a medicine
  • Therapy or counselling itself
  • Crisis support (it gives you emergency numbers and crisis lines)
